Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course ready for 2015 season

Public course will open Friday, April 10

With the onset of one of the most anticipated weeks in professional golf, the premier public course in Western New York has given golfers another reason to look forward to this weekend with great excitement: Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course will open for the season this Friday. Tee time availabilities start at 8 a.m.

"Striking that first drive and sinking the first putt of a new golf season is a sensation that every golfer looks forward to throughout the entire offseason," said Fran Roach, PGA, general manager at Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course. "The course is in incredible shape and we're eager to welcome golfers from throughout the region back to Seneca Hickory Stick."

Golfers can take advantage of a number of Frequent "Fairways" season pass options for the 2015 golf season, including the "Frequent Fairways Unlimited" pass, good seven days a week; the "Frequent Fairways Weekday" pass, accepted Monday-Thursday; as well as spouse and junior golf pass options. All passes include greens fees, use of the driving range, preferred tee times 14 days in advance, and a handicap system. The "Unlimited" and "Weekday" passes also include use of a golf cart.

Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones II, Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course is regarded as one of the finest courses in New York, and has been regularly included on numerous "Best Courses" lists from such publications as Golf Magazine and Golfweek Magazine. Last week, the course was selected to host the 2015 WNYPGA Section Championship in August, marking the second time in its five-year history Seneca Hickory Stick will host this prestigious event.
