On March 5, the Town of Wheatfield Lions Club hosted the visit of Lions Club District Gov. Mike Lawkowski, as well as visiting former governors and dinner chairman Paul Wilson, who congratulated the organization for its hard work and presented three membership certificates to three new members.

Niagara County Legislative Chairman and Wheatfield Lions Club President Bill Ross presided. Fellow Lions, including Zone Chairman Tom Witkowski, Town of Wheatfield Supervisor Robert Cliffe and Town Attorney Robert O'Toole, also were in attendance. Walt Garrow, also called the "Chili Chief," was congratulated for his contributions to last year's chili event.

Dinner was catered by Pellicano's Deli and Store.
