Town Supervisor Mary Cooke reports the New York State Thruway Authority will rehabilitate the Bedell Road Bridge over the I-190 on Grand Island. The project is slated to begin in mid-March and finish in late June. Barriers will be erected at West River and Bedell and Grand Island Boulevard and Bedell, allowing local traffic only beyond those points.

Detours will be posted to direct motorists to Long and Whitehaven roads. Watch the media for exact dates and specific instructions as the exact project start date is finalized.
