Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. Vice President

Dear Friend of Youngstown Fire Co.,

Your generosity during our "Drive for Life" campaign in previous years is greatly appreciated. With donations from our community, we were able to replace our 13-year-old ambulance, enabling us to provide members of our community with the most updated ambulance service possible.

This year again, we come to you for help. Our goal is to raise $25,000 each year, which will allow us to purchase supplies and replacement equipment as needed, and have enough left to purchase a new ambulance in 10 years.

To reach our goal, we need the support of everyone in the community we serve. Tax dollars have never been used to operate our ambulance; it has always been supported by donations and with your help we can continue this tradition.

Our ambulance service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, at no cost to the patient. Our ambulance is staffed by our all-volunteer fire company membership. We quickly respond to over 300 medical emergencies per year, including any illness, fires, motor vehicle accidents and injuries such as falls, burns and lacerations. Our ambulance and crews are also available to stand by at no charge for football and soccer games and other community events.

We need equipment that we can depend on when lives hang in the balance. We are asking for your support to make this possible.

Please consider a contribution of $25 or more to help us keep our ambulance free of charge to all of our residents. Your gift will help save lives in our beautiful community.

Our membership is 100 percent volunteer and all donations received go to the purchase and maintenance of equipment. We are always looking for quality people to join our ranks and serve our community. There are openings for firefighters, fire police members and EMTs. You provide the time and we provide the training and equipment.
