Schedule announced and tickets on sale for 2015 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships

Event takes place April 26-May 3 at HARBORCENTER in Buffalo

The schedule for the 2015 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships, which will take place April 26 to May 3, at HARBORCENTER in Buffalo, was announced and tickets are on sale.

The IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships will feature eight of the world's best sled hockey teams. Group A will consist of the defending champion Canada, Czech Republic, Norway and Japan. The U.S. will face Italy, Germany and Russia in Group B.

All eight teams begin play Sunday, April 26, highlighted by a rematch between the U.S. and Russia, who have met in the championship game in the last two major international tournaments. The U.S. defeated Russia, 2-1, in overtime to win the 2015 World Sled Hockey Challenge title and 1-0 to claim the gold medal at the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.

Each team will play three preliminary-round contests and the tournament will culminate with the bronze and gold-medal games Sunday, May 3. For a complete tournament schedule, visit Buffalo2015.com.
