The Buffalo Niagara Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America will present "Challenging the Status Quo: Why Sponsored Content Should be a Component of your Marketing Communications Program," presented by Dave Armon, president and CEO of Brand.com. The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Salvatore's Italian Gardens, 6461 Transit Road, Depew. Register online at www.prsabuffaloniagara.org or call 716-508-0277.

A former journalist and PR professional, Armon spent 20 years in management at PR Newswire, where he was president and COO. He has served as a director and executive for three SaaS platforms in the PR, marketing and social media sectors. A native of Rochester, Armon earned his journalism degree from Utica College of Syracuse University.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program will conclude at 1 p.m. Registration fees are $40 for PRSA members, $50 for the general public and $25 for PRSSA student members. Lunch is included and free parking is available.

Founded in 1963, the Buffalo Niagara Chapter has nearly 200 members representing all areas of business and industry, including corporate, nonprofit, government, counseling firms, educational institutions and professional service firms.
