Coverage begins with "Football Night In America" at 7 p.m. on NBC
NBC's "Sunday Night Football" presents a battle for first place in the NFC East, when Tony Romo, DeMarco Murray and the Dallas Cowboys (9-4) square off against Mark Sanchez, LeSean McCoy and the Philadelphia Eagles (9-4). Sunday night's coverage begins with "Football Night In America" at 7 p.m. ET.
The last time the Cowboys and Eagles met this late in the season with at least a .690 winning percentage was more than three decades ago, on Dec. 21, 1980 (Dallas, 11-4; Philadelphia, 12-3). In addition, the Cowboys bring the NFL's only undefeated road record (6-0) to Philadelphia Sunday night, where the Eagles have posted a 6-1 record this season.
Sunday night's showdown between the Cowboys and Eagles marks the second meeting between the two teams in an 18-day span. On Thanksgiving Day, McCoy rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown, and Sanchez passed for 217 yards and totaled two touchdowns in a 33-10 win over the Cowboys in Dallas.
The Cowboys rebounded last Thursday night with a 41-28 win over the Chicago Bears, led by Murray's season-high 179 rushing yards, and three touchdown passes from Romo. The Eagles lost, 24-14, to the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, as Seattle's defense held Philadelphia to 139 yards of total offense.
Murray currently leads the NFL with 1,606 rushing yards, while McCoy ranks fourth (1,068).
