Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will be present this weekend during the Lewiston Christmas Walk festivities. Adoptable dogs will be available at Grandpaws Pet Emporium, 402 Center St., from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. both days. On Saturday, the public is invited to meet Dodger, Dottie, Grigsby, Lego, Lolo, Pluto, Rollie, Snoopy and Spike. On Sunday, meet Cupid, Dixie, Dodger, Dreyfus, Jazzy, Lego and Rollie.
In addition, the rescue will have a team of volunteers and adoptable dogs present at Oh My Dog Daycare and Grooming Spa, 2045 Niagara Falls Blvd, Amherst, this Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Heart of Niagara was invited to participate in Oh My Dog's first fundraiser and customer appreciation event, "A December to Remember." The rescue will bring adoptable dogs Spike, Lolo and Dottie to meet and greet the public. Professional photos with Santa, certified trainer Vicki Eberle, gift baskets and more make for a family-friendly and fun event.
Donations of needed items, posted on Heart of Niagara's "Wish List" at each of these stores and on Facebook, will be gratefully accepted this weekend and at any future Heart of Niagara event or meeting.
