Assemblyman John Ceretto has secured a legislative victory for the Niagara community as his legislation (A.10051) was signed into law by Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The new law authorizes the Town of Niagara to sell unused parkland and use the proceeds for existing park facilities. The town has developed new, larger parkland, which will offer additional recreational opportunities.

"I am proud to have worked so closely with Niagara Supervisor Sylvia Virtuoso in clearing the red tape necessary to authorize this transaction," Ceretto said. "By clearing out old, unused parkland and replacing it with a larger space, we can provide better parks for our community. I look forward to seeing the new park and the joy it will bring to Niagara."
