Youngstown Police Department

The Youngstown Police Department would like to issue a friendly reminder that winter parking regulations come into effect Dec. 1. Please be aware of where you can and cannot park from Dec. 1 until April 1 in the Village of Youngstown.

This parking restriction is so that the Village of Youngstown Public Works can plow the streets and keep motorists safe. We have provided the specifics on the law, and the Youngstown Police Department would like to thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Parking of motor vehicles is hereby restricted on all village highways between the hours of 3 a.m. and 6 p.m., from Dec. 1 through April 1 of each year, and to include that parking on Main Street from Hinman Street to the south line of Falkner Park, which shall also be prohibited from 3 to 6 a.m. during said period.

Between the aforementioned dates, Lockport Street between Main and Second streets shall be restricted to the north side of the street on even days of the week, and on the south side on odd days of the week.

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, between the aforementioned dates, parking on Hinman Street between Main Street and Second Street shall be restricted to the north side of the streets on even days of the week and on the south side on odd days of the week.
