"Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale" will be presented as Artpark & Company's annual springtime on-school-time children's theater offering. Casa Manana Theatre of Fort Worth, Texas, will present two Mainstage Theater performances May 5, 2015 (10 a.m. and noon).

Tickets are $7 ($6 when purchased before Jan. 1) and are on sale now. They can be purchased in person at the Artpark box office, 450 S. Fourth St., Lewiston (Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), by calling 716-754-4375 or 1-888-223-6000, or online at www.artpark.net and www.tickets.com.

Schools and groups of 10 or more must be booked in person or by calling 716-754-9000, ext. 124, or 716-754-4375. Groups of 10 or more save on service fees, receive free bus parking, and can work with a box office associate to reserve the best available seats.

In the story, the evil enchantress Lady Za Za has banished Princess Rapunzel to the deep, dark, dank, dismal, dreary forest in an effort to rule the kingdom herself. It is up to handsome Sir Roderick and his hairdressing sidekick, Edgar, to restore the kingdom as they also search for true love and a perfect head of hair. Will they find everything they are looking for in Princess Rapunzel?

With a dragon who's lost his poof, a neurotic gypsy woman and a magical cast of characters, this hilarious twist on the classic fairy tale will delight ages 5 and up.

A downloadable study guide is available at www.artpark.net to bring the fun into the classroom before and after attending the performance.

For more information, visit www.artpark.net or call 716-754-4375.
