Tickets for this year's "Tour of Homes," themed "Christmas in the Country," are now on sale. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. the weekend of Dec. 6-7. Tickets are available online at http://LewistonHomeTour.com, at all Wegmans locations, as well as a few Lewiston locations, including The Orange Cat Coffee Co., DiCamillo Bakery and The Village Bake Shoppe.
The Tour of Homes is the Historical Association of Lewiston's largest fundraiser.
A ticket opens the doors to:
•A unique showcase of Lewiston's most historic homes, four of which have been selected to be dressed for the season by Western New York's most creative designers. Each home will feature a tablescape or two, offering more innovative entertaining ideas.
•A special dessert sampling and cocktail reception (included in the ticket price) from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day at the Barton Hill Hotel, 100 Center St. This stop features holiday pastries from two award-winning bakeries: The Village Bake Shoppe and DiCamillo Bakery. Ticketholders also will receive a signature poinsettia cocktail courtesy of Supermarket Liquors and Wines and Wegmans (Niagara Falls).
•A holiday gift market located at the newly renovated Lewiston No. 1 Firehall, 145 N. Sixth St. Here, 20 vendors will offer everything from unique jewelry pieces to culinary items to home décor and more.
•Explore the Lewiston Museum, which will be adorned for the season with a Christmas tree, greens and candlelight. Get up close and personal with artifacts from Lewiston's past. Re-enactors will be decked out in period clothing and will be available for photo opportunities. The museum store will be open offering locally themed books, ornaments and Lewiston treasures.
Tickets are $20. For more information, or to find out about the homes, visit http://www.LewistonHomeTour.com.
