Wednesday evening, the Town of Porter Republican Committee held its annual fundraiser reception where the group honored one of its own as Republican of the Year. In his naming of Lee "Moo Cow" McCollum, Porter GOP Committee Chair Duffy Johnston spoke of the resident's involvement in the community.

"Lee and his wife Ann are lifelong residents of the Town of Porter. Together they raised two daughters, Trisha and Terri. Lee has served on the Town of Porter Planning Board for over 25 years and has always been active in the community," Johnston told the party faithful gathered in the Ransomville firehall.

Pictured, McCollum, shown with his plaque, is joined by State Sen. George Maziarz (left), Johnston and Scott Kiedrowski, chairman of the Niagara County Republican Committee.
