Hard Rock International introduces worldwide Hard Rock "Roxtars" launch for children of all ages

Hard Rock is rolling out the red carpet for its youngest rock stars to show off their best impressions. To launch the Hard Rock "Roxtars" program, Hard Rock Café, Niagara Falls USA, will host the "Does Your Child Look Like a Rock Star?" contest Saturday, Nov. 1. For one afternoon, kids ages 10 and under, in costume or not, will eat free if each is with an adult purchasing an entrée.

Guests can bring their favorite pint-sized rock star to the cafe dressed in their best costume for a chance to win a Hard Rock Cafe gift card or a 2015 birthday party for eight of the rock star's closest band members and entourage.

As the city gears up for Halloween, Hard Rock Café will be on the lookout for the city's future rock stars who look and dress the part. The children's' activities, contest and live music will start at 11 a.m. Reservations are recommended. There will be arts & crafts as well as photo opportunities for kids from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., led by students of Mount St. Mary Academy's entrepreneurship program. There will be live music performances with young artists including Francesca Harvey and Olivia Larson from "Live! Starring ... You!" as well as Vincent Bonelli.

Music is Art will be on hand throughout the event with information and giveaways. The "Parade of Costumes" will begin at noon, and judges will choose the winner directly following. The grand-prize winner may choose between a birthday party at the cafe or a Hard Rock gift card. Prizes also will be awarded for two runners-up. Judging will be based on originality, quality and creativity of the costumes.

The contest celebrates the unveiling of the Hard Rock "Roxtars," a band of characters serving as brand ambassadors for Hard Rock's multifaceted brand-wide programs catering to children of all ages, presented at Hard Rock Cafés, Hard Rock Hotels and Rock Shops worldwide. The Hard Rock "Roxtars" will provide fans of Hard Rock with an authentic, irreverent experience rich in music content, allowing the brand to connect with future and veteran rockers alike.

Inspired by Hard Rock International's paramount differentiator - music - this band of five characters and music performers, each "Roxtar" has a distinct personality representing the individuality and freedom of artistic expression in children. Band members include Razzi, Sir Kingston, Styler, Buddy Jr and Skiddley. The Hard Rock "Roxtars" are designed to inspire kids of all ages to rock an inimitable brand of cool, allowing their originality to shine.

"Hard Rock is thrilled to unveil the new Hard Rock 'Roxtars' program," said Allison Appoloney, general manager of Hard Rock Café, Niagara Falls USA. "We are delighted to be working with wonderful partners such as 'Live! Starring ... You!', Music is Art and Mount St. Mary Academy."

Children who dine at Hard Rock Café, Niagara Falls USA, will be greeted with their own activity book, Hard Rock "Roxtars"-themed menus, guitar-shaped plates and Hard Rock "Roxtars" photo opportunities.

As part of The National Restaurant Association's Kids LiveWell program, in collaboration with Healthy Dining, a mission and online resource that helps parents and children alike select healthy menu options when dining out, Hard Rock Cafés worldwide will offer healthier food options, ranging from Skiddley's "Not-so-diddley" chicken breast to the "twisted 'n tasty" cavatappi pasta.
