"All Quiet on the Western Front," the epic 1930 war film considered one of the most realistic accounts of warfare, will be presented in the next Daemen College Film Series event at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in the Wick Campus Center Alumni Lounge.

Based on the Erich Maria Remarque novel of the same name, the film tells the story of young German soldiers trying to adjust to the horrors of World War I. It was the first film to win Academy Awards for both Best Director and Outstanding Production.

Post-film commentary will be provided by Bob Cianciosa from Daemen. The event, which is sponsored by the office of academic affairs, is free and open to the public.

Additional Daemen Film Series events will be held at 7:30 pm. on scheduled Mondays.
