Niagara Arts Guild announces show winners

Winners of The Niagara Arts Guild Fall Art Show were announced at the Lockside Art Center at the show's recent opening reception.

They include: Best in Show - "Appalachian Barn," Brady Zdrojewski; Honorable Mention - "Heading Home," Sally Johnson; Oil - First Place, "Mary Ann's Calla Lily," Elvera Mangiafesto; and Second Place, "Gateway to Lockport," Cheryl Tasevski. Watercolor - First Place, "Winter Passage," Manning McCandlish; Second Place, "My Flowers," Roberta Newton; Third Place, "Dance With Me Across The Sky," Kathy Wood; and Honorable Mention, "Morning Sun on Boats," Dick Hayden, and "Heading South," Linda Anderson. Photography - First Place, "Leaves in the Mist," Phil Eaton; Second Place, "Chloe's Pumpkin," Patty Perry; Third Place, "Feathering His Nest," Maggie Eaton; and Honorable Mention, "Canal Winter," Nona McQuay.

Best Sense of Humor award went to Mike Miller, "This is Not Olcott Lighthouse," Ultra Minimalism; and Viewer's Choice was "Appalachian Barn," Brady Zdrojewski.

The show continues through Saturday, Oct. 25. The Lockside Art Center is located in the Lock View Plaza, 21-41 Main St., Suite 208, Lockport. Hours of operation noon until 4 p.m. are Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
