Summit Outlets LP proposes mixed-use facility

The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency board of directors will vote on an application for assistance from the Summit Outlets LP at its 9 a.m. board meeting Wednesday.

The proposed project would involve renovation of the former Summit Park Mall, located at 6929 Williams Road in Wheatfield, into a mixed-use facility with retail, entertainment, restaurants, a wine-tasting outlet for regional wineries, a sportsplex and a business incubator program in conjunction with NCCC.

Developer Zoran Cocov is proposing to invest approximately $17 million to renovate the vacant facility, which was an enclosed shopping mall that opened in 1972. Cocov is seeking a sales tax exemption as well as a five-year payment in lieu of taxes.
