The New York State Department of Transportation today announced bridge maintenance is scheduled to occur on Saturday on Interstate 190 in the City of Niagara Falls. As a result, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., I-190 southbound, between Exit 23 (Packard Road) and Exit 21A (LaSalle Expressway), will be reduced to one lane.

This work is weather sensitive and will be delayed in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are reminded to obey the posted speed limits along the detour routes. Motorists also are reminded fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
