Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will be preaching the gospel of breast cancer awareness Sunday as 12 area churches participate in the annual "Pink Ribbon Sunday" observance.
Worshippers at those churches will receive pink ribbons and hear presentations about the importance of breast cancer prevention, early detection and treatment.
"People of faith know there is a connection between spirit, mind and body when it comes to staying healthy," Memorial Community Outreach Director Charles Walker said. " 'Pink Ribbon Sunday' is a day to remind women who are dedicated to serving the Lord and caring for others how important it is for them to care for themselves."
