Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will be present with adoptable dogs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday at The Great Pumpkin Farm, 11199 Main St., Clarence, as part of the World Pumpkin Weigh Off and Mutt-Allica Dog Sport and Pony Show.

Heart of Niagara's adoptable dogs - Tulip, Sierra, Jack, Speckles and Stella - will be there to meet and greet the public. Photos and information on these and all the HON animals are available at www.heartofniagara.org. Find out more about the adoption process, animal care, and upcoming meetings and events.

Donations received this weekend will offset the costs of the medical care and recent surgery for Buffy, and other ongoing rescue medical needs.

Heart of Niagara is a not-for-profit companion animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals. To date, volunteers have adopted out more than 215 animals.

HON operates solely on donations and the generosity and support of the public. Monthly volunteer meetings take place from 6:30-8 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month at First Presbyterian Church, 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston. Meetings are open to the public and new volunteers are always welcome.
