Sandra Santos, a Complete Senior Care PACE participant and Niagara Falls resident, will shave her head live at the day center in front of an audience of nearly 50 fellow PACE participants, volunteers and staff to raise awareness of breast cancer, and funds to offset the disease. The event will take place from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday at Complete Senior Care, 1302 Main St., Niagara Falls.

Additionally, a "Pink Store" will be open with items available for purchase.

Onlookers and participants can enter through Complete Senior Care's logoed door under blue awning on Main Street. Parking is available on Main and along Pierce Avenue and Orchard Parkway.

Organizers are supporting a breast cancer awareness benefit walk in honor of Complete Senior Care staff member Kim Williamson who has fought and survived breast cancer.

The day center will be decorated in pink, complete with balloons, refreshments and many participants and staff dressed in pink. A musical entertainer will perform, too.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Complete Senior Care is a PACE program, which is a national model of care and stands for "Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly." The goal of CSC and all PACE programs is to keep individuals living safely in their homes and the community.
