Lewiston Police Blotter for Sept. 20, 2014

The following activity occurred Monday, Sept. 8, to Sunday, Sept. 14, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 89 response calls during this period.

Monday, Sept. 8

•400 block of West Lane, fraud complaint. Caller stated a party informed the residents they had won $1 million, but no one arrived at the home with the winning prize.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, harassment. Patrol reported two juveniles were involved; officers expected to meet with school officials. Investigation to continue.

•800 block of Cayuga Street, assist citizen. Complainant reported a gas attendant had pumped the wrong amount of a gas. Call reported as a civil issue.

•700 block of Cayuga Street, alarm response at a bank branch. No key holder on location.

•Niagara University campus, property-damage complaint. Statement taken from a female, 18. Report filed.

Tuesday, Sept. 9

•100 block of North Sixth Street, criminal mischief in a parking lot. Statement taken from a male, 53, concerning damage to a van. Report filed.

•5900 block of Garlow Road, animal problem. Call handled; report filed.

•400 block of Baker Drive, check welfare. All OK; patrol cleared.

•700 block of Center Street, check on suspicious person. Patrol reported all OK.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, officer requested at Niagara Wheatfield school bus garage. Two females, ages 53 and 27, listed on call. Unattended children on a bus reported.

•2400 block of Upper Mountain Road, check 911 call. State Police responded; no problems and call cleared.

Wednesday, Sept. 10

•LPD office, harassment complaint. Statement taken from a female, 53; a male, 58, was listed as a person involved. Complaint occurred at a bar restaurant on the 100 block of South Water Street. Report filed.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Wheatfield High School, fight. Patrol spoke with a male concerning an incident involving juveniles. Situation to be handled by school officials.

•1300 block of Ridge Road, Lewiston Town Hall, harassment. Statement taken from a female, 51, concerning threatening phone calls. Patrol also spoke with a male, 51. Report filed.

•Addresses on the 400 block of Cayuga Street and on the 4600 block of Lower River Road, residential alarm responses. Both locations secure; reports filed.

•200 block of South First Street, check welfare. State Police responded; all OK.

•4900 block of Black Nose Spring Road, property damage accident. Statement taken from driver; no injuries reported. Report filed.

Thursday, Sept. 11

•Townline and Lower Mountain roads, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 32, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation, third; operating a vehicle without a required ignition interlock device installed; and speed in zone. Driver released on appearance tickets for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle released to a licensed driver. Report filed.

•100 block of Center Street, lost property. Statement taken from a female, 58, concerning lost jewelry. Report filed.

•Indian Hill Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from drivers; no injuries and vehicles towed. Report filed.

•4500 block of Lower River Road, criminal mischief. Patrol spoke with a male, elderly, concerning a mailbox that was knocked down overnight. Report filed.

•Center and Ninth streets, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; report filed.

•5300 block of Chew Road, juvenile problem/domestic. Patrol spoke with a female, 59, concerning a male juvenile reported as out of control. Report filed.

•NU campus, harassment. Male, 18, listed as a victim and male, no age, as a suspect. No charges wished; campus security to follow up.

•NU campus, intoxicated person. Female, 18, taken to EM-Star at Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center by Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co.

•Ridge Road, westbound, reckless driver. Vehicle reported as heading to Ransomville from Cambria. Negative results on patrol's search.

Friday, Sept. 12

•NU campus, intoxicated person. Male, 18, taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center by Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co.

•5300 block of Military Road, Mount St. Mary's, officer requested. Patrol assisted EM-Star staff with a female patient, 18, reported as out of control. Call handled by patrol.

•600 block of Upper Mountain Road, unattended death. Female, elderly, listed as the victim.

•NU campus, one vehicle accident. Statement taken from driver; report filed.

•2400 block of Maple Street, call unspecified. Male, 50, listed. Investigation to continue.

•100 block of North Water Street, officer requested. Boater did not pay the required launch fee; call handled.

•5400 block of Military Road, aggravated harassment. Female, 19, listed as complainant and female, no age, as a suspect. Report filed.

•1500 block of Upper Mountain Road, hit-run accident. Statement taken from driver of vehicle No. 1; vehicle No. 2 towed with hold placed. Investigation to continue.

•2300 block of Braley Road, report of fight. Called off en route.

Saturday, Sept. 13

•3200 block of Bellreng Drive, Town of Niagara, assist agency. LPD on location with Town of Niagara Police Department for a domestic.

•200 block of Brentwood Drive, Village of Youngstown, domestic. LPD on location with NCSO.

•900 block of Balmer Road, Town of Porter, warrant attempt. Negative results reported.

•400 block of Burt Circle, fraud complaint. Male complainant reported charges to a bankcard from an unspecified Delaware location.

•100 block of North Fourth Street, suspicious persons. Juveniles dispersed by patrol.

•900 block of North Hewitt Drive, follow-up. Patrol followed up on an earlier hit-run from the 1500 block of Upper Mountain Road.

•2800 block of Tallman Street, suspicious person. Male reported looking in area for a vehicle mirror; all OK.

Sunday, Sept. 14

•5000 block of Callan Drive, fire. Statements taken from a Female and male, both 28, regarding a reported garage fire, possibly from a cigarette. LPD on scene with fire investigator.

•100 block of Church Street, Youngstown, domestic. LPD assisted NCSO on call.

•2400 block of Saunders Settlement Road, larceny. Statement taken from a female concerning a male suspect; no ages listed. Report filed.

•2400 block of Saunders Settlement Road, open burn. Patrol advised parties from above call on burning brush.

•800 block of Oneida Street, neighbor problem. Call resolved by patrol.

•5700 block of Lewiston Road, suspicious persons at south entrance to New York Power Authority. Subjects GOA.

•4300 block of Creek Road, check welfare. Patrol reported a female, elderly, intoxicated down the center of the roadway. Subject picked up by her husband.

•800 block of Thornwood Drive, check welfare. Female from above call returned home.

•North Seventh and Center streets, two vehicle hit-run accident. Statement taken from driver of vehicle No. 2. Report filed.

•900 block of Center Street, two-vehicle property damage accident in a parking lot. Statements taken from drivers; report filed.
