Session will feature guest speaker Murray McBride, professor at Cornell University
Assemblyman John Ceretto has announced a free informational meeting for the public regarding the effects of sewage sludge on public health will be held tomorrow. Sponsored by the Western New York Sludge Free Alliance, the event will be held at 1 p.m. at Frontier Volunteer Fire Co., 2176 Liberty Drive, Niagara Falls.
Ceretto will introduce special guest Murray McBride, a professor at Cornell University who studies the effects of sewage sludge on soil quality and contamination. McBride will speak at the meeting.
"I am happy to invite all my constituents (to) a free informational meeting on the effects of sewage sludge in our local soils," Ceretto said. "Murray McBride is an expert on the topic and will be sharing his insights so that we can apply them to our situation. I want to thank professor McBride and the Western New York Sludge Free Alliance for making this event happen, and I look forward to learning more about this important issue."
