Niagara Hospice families, volunteers and staff will remember those they have served with a very special "Remembrance Celebration" at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25. The event will be held in memory of Niagara Hospice patients who passed from July 1-Dec. 31, 2013.

"The 'Remembrance Celebration' gives families an opportunity to share in memorial support with the hospice care family," said spiritual care director the Rev. John A. Marshall, M. Div. "Each remembrance service is especially meaningful as we reflect on the people who have touched our lives in many different ways."

Held regularly since 1989, the nondenominational service will offer a time of remembrance through reflection, music and companionship as the names of Niagara Hospice patients are read. The service will be held at the Dominic Lariccia Family Pavilion behind Niagara Hospice House on Sunset Drive in the Town of Lockport.

Invitations have been mailed to family members whose loved ones will be remembered at the Sept. 25 program. Families are reminded to RSVP by Sept. 17 to indicate if they will attend, as refreshments will be provided immediately following the celebration. For more information and to RSVP, call the Niagara Hospice Spiritual Care Department at 716-280-0768.
