The Glasgow/Milne families will present a portrait of Capt. William Glasgow painted by Major Baskerville during World War II to the Niagara Aerospace Museum Saturday at 1 p.m.

The original portrait is on permanent display at the Pentagon.

Glasgow was a WWII fighter pilot and test pilot from Niagara Falls. He was awarded the Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross and Purple Heart. Just recently, at an Oakwood Cemetery ceremony, he was awarded the Prisoner of War Medal.

After coming back to the U.S., Glasgow was killed flying an experimental plane in a war bond rally held at Wright Field, Ohio, May 27, 1945. He was 27 at the time.

Various Air Force and other dignitaries will be attending Saturday's ceremony.
