BPO, Girl Talk, Moby and Foster the People headline last four 2014 concerts on Buffalo's waterfront

With only four more concerts remaining in the 2014 Canalside Summer Concert Series, organizers said it's time to get down to Buffalo's waterfront to enjoy live music. Four fun and diverse acts are left: the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Girl Talk, Moby and Foster the People.

On Thursday, Aug. 7, the BPO makes its debut in Buffalo's iconic free Thursday summer concert series. Unwind after work with the music of Michael Jackson and Earth, Wind and Fire performed by this internationally recognized symphony orchestra.

The following day, Friday, Aug. 8, Girl Talk makes a return to Buffalo with his most epic, densely layered and meticulously composed musical statement to date (ticketed concert). On Gregg Gillis' (Girl Talk's real name) 2010 album, "All Day," he wanted to create the most insane and complex pop collage album ever. Collecting 372 samples of melodies and fragments of songs, he assembled them for the ultimate Girl Talk record - clocking in at 71 minutes. Most recently, Girl Talk collaborated with Freeway to create an album that combines Gillis' hyperactive beats with Freeway's lyrical raps.

Thursday, Aug. 14, is the last free Thursday Canalside concert. Moby, who has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, takes the stage. He gained worldwide attention in the early 1990s with his electronic dance music work, including hit songs, "We Are All Made of Stars" and "Bodyrock."

Finally, on Thursday, Sept. 11, Foster the People, a melodic dance-infused pop and rock band headlines the final ticketed Canalside concert of the season.
