GISBA Golf Tournament fundraiser

The second annual Grand Island School and Business Alliance Golf Tournament will be held Tuesday, July 22, at River Oaks Golf Club, 201 Whitehaven Road, to raise funds for GISBA.

As an organization that is 100 percent volunteer, it is of the utmost important that fundraisers such as the golf tournament are a success, to provide scholarships and other opportunities for students.

Registration for the tourney begins at 11:30 a.m., with a 12:30 p.m. start time.

Individual players and foursome registrations are still being accepted. The cost is $100 per person including lunch and dinner; $85 of each ticket will fund GISBA.

Any participant that records a hole in one, at a specific hole has a chance to win a boat, courtesy of Anchor Marine.

To further sponsor the organization, GISBA invites local businesses to "purchase a hole" for $100, which includes an 18-by-24-inch sign. This sign will be located at the tee box of a specific hole.

Donations for raffle baskets and prizes are still being accepted.
