The Niagara Tourism & Convention Corp. has partnered with the City of Niagara Falls and the Niagara Falls Police Department to implement multilingual signage throughout the city in an effort to provide a friendly reminder to international visitors to keep their valuables in check while vacationing to the region.

"When it comes to offering the best quality experiences to our visitors, we want to ensure the safest environment possible for travelers," said Bryan DalPorto, Niagara Falls Police superintendent. "Being proactive about communicating safety precautions to visitors is one of our department's top priorities. Like any safety measure, these signs encourage visitors to be aware of their valuable belongings, which is important in all traveling situations."

With this initiative, NTCC's goal is to help prevent visitors from experiencing any unpleasant safety concerns during their travels. To accommodate the widest range of travelers, the message on the signs has been translated in six different languages: Russian, German, simplified Chinese, Italian, Spanish and French. It states, "Please remember to remove all valuables from your vehicle."

"We aim to ensure that all visitors have the highest quality experience while visiting Niagara USA, and these signs will serve as important reminders to our international travelers to keep their valuables out of sight while exploring the area," said John Percy, NTCC president and CEO. "This is an effective way for us to communicate this safety message at central parking points throughout the city."

The signs are located at the parking ramp adjacent to the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, as well as the city lots at Niagara and First streets, Third Street, and across from the Niagara USA Visitor Center on Rainbow Boulevard.

The NTCC's mission is to expand the economic prosperity of the Niagara USA communities by generating individual and group visitation. For more information, visit niagara-usa.com.
