Store to open at 11 a.m. on Thursday; weekend-long celebration to follow
Cabela's, the "World's Foremost Outfitter" of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, will celebrate the grand opening of its new Cheektowaga store Thursday with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Cabela's executives.
Opening day will kick-off with crowd entertainment, including a DJ, giveaways and trivia games, at 8 a.m. The opening ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m., and the grand-opening ribbon will be cut by an arrow shot from a bow by a local Cabela's employee - marking the official opening of Cabela's first New York location.
