Pre-sale under way; Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel additional location for exclusive pre-sale tickets to Buffalo's "hottest" festival in August

Take one of the country's most popular food festivals, add the support of one of the region's hottest attractions, and you've got a recipe for a fun Labor Day weekend in downtown Buffalo.

Officials from Seneca Gaming Corp. and the National Buffalo Wing festival announced today that Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino has signed on as one of the co-sponsors for the National Buffalo Wing Festival, held Aug. 30 and 31 at Coca-Cola Field in downtown Buffalo.

Now in its 13th year, the festival has grown into a signature tourism event for the region and a staple on the calendars of food enthusiasts from around the globe. Last year, the two-day event drew more than 80,000 attendees from all 50 states and 34 countries, and gained worldwide coverage. This year's festival will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the "Buffalo wing."

"The National Buffalo Wing Festival has helped open Buffalo's doors to people from around the world," said Jennifer Caruso, general manager, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino. "From the festival to Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, to everything happening at Canalside, downtown Buffalo will be exploding with energy Labor Day weekend, and we are thrilled to be a part of it."

As part of its sponsorship, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, along with Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel in Niagara Falls, will serve as an exclusive location for pre-sale festival tickets. Pre-sale tickets are available now for just $5 and will include a $1 voucher redeemable for food at the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino tent during the festival.

Guests may purchase pre-sale tickets with cash, credit card or Seneca Player's Club comp points at BC Café (open 24 hours a day) inside Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino and at two locations inside Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel: Seasons - during retail store hours, and The NewsStand - open 24 hours a day.

In addition to co-sponsoring the festival and serving as an exclusive pre-sale ticket outlet, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino will be the title sponsor for the U.S. Professional Wing Eating Championship, held during the event weekend. The casino will also host a meet-and-greet with the competitors on Saturday, Aug. 30.

"This is a great partnership that allows festival attendees a chance to enhance and extend their fun-filled downtown stay during Wing Festival weekend," said Drew Cerza, founder, National Buffalo Wing Festival. "Partners like the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino help make community events like the National Buffalo Wing Festival a success."

As an added bonus, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino asks all festivalgoers to hang on to their ticket stubs. Any attendee who presents a ticket stub at the casino during festival weekend may redeem it for $10 in free slot play. Those who redeem it between Sept. 1 and 7 may redeem it for even more entertainment - $15 in free slot play. The casino is located at the corner of Michigan and Perry streets, about a 10-minute walk from Coca-Cola Field.

The $130 million Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino officially opened on Aug. 27. The property attracts approximately 3 million annual visitors, with many coming from Pennsylvania, Ohio, other parts of New York, and Southern Ontario. Last month, Seneca Gaming Corp. announced a $3 million marketing partnership with Visit Buffalo Niagara to allocate marketing resources for both co-branding opportunities and promoting City of Buffalo tourism attractions to major markets in surrounding states and Southern Ontario.

The casino employs approximately 500 team members, with about half residing in the City of Buffalo.

Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino is the latest attraction in the rapidly developing Cobblestone District along Buffalo inner harbor. Information is available by calling 1-877-8-SENECA (1-877-873-6322) or visiting www.SenecaCasinos.com.
