First-time Niagara Falls event welcomes Corvette Clubs of Buffalo and Crystal Lake, Illinois

Get your motors running and head out to Old Falls Street, USA, this Saturday as the Corvette Club of Buffalo and the Sunburst Corvette Club of Crystal Lake, Illinois (Chicago area) meet for a day-long "Cruise-In" event featuring 50 classic and new Corvettes on the street. This event features food and beverage vending as well as live music by Buffalo's legendary Lance Diamond, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

"We look forward to hosting an array of Corvettes on Old Falls Street," said Global Spectrum's Dan Mezhir, Old Falls Street's event manager, who has been planning this event with the Corvette Club of Buffalo and their mid-western counterpart for several months. "This display of quintessential American vehicles coupled with great live music will be a must-see event for residents and visitors alike."

The July 19 event serves as the first of two Corvette Club "Cruise-Ins" to be held on Old Falls Street this summer. The next one will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, and features live music by The Boys of Summer. That concert is also free and open to the public.

Opening for Lance Diamond this weekend is Kurt and the Loders, a local 1990s rock cover band, taking the stage from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

During the Aug. 16 "Cruise-In," the Corvette Club of Buffalo will celebrate its 10th annual caravan, while welcoming anyone with a classic or custom vehicle to join them on Old Falls Street, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. All makes and models of vehicles are welcome. Pre-registered vehicles will receive preferred parking on Old Falls Street. The price is $5 to register a vehicle.

For more information or to obtain a registration form, contact Mezhir at 716-278-2111 or [email protected].
