New cinema spot to roll out on more than 19,000 movie screens nationwide

NBC Sports Group has announced the Friday, July 25, debut of a new cinema spot starring six-time Grammy Award-winner and multi-platinum recording artist Carrie Underwood performing "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night," the opening theme for primetime television's No. 1 program, "Sunday Night Football" on NBC.

The piece, a 21/2-minute behind-the-scenes look at the making of this year's "Sunday Night Football" show open featuring Underwood and NFL stars, will debut on more than 19,000 movie screens in National CineMedia's "FirstLook" pre-show program in AMC, Cinemark, Regal Entertainment Group and other top theaters nationwide.

"Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" is set to the original Joan Jett song, "I Hate Myself for Loving You." This marks Underwood's second season performing the song with NBC Sports.
