NTCC: Tour bus traveling nationwide this summer features images of iconic Niagara USA attractions

The Niagara Tourism & Convention Corp. and AAA Western and Central New York unveiled a brand new "Niagara USA wrapped" motor coach tour bus on Monday outside of the Niagara USA Visitor Center on Rainbow Boulevard. The bus was implemented as part of the NTCC's strategic branding campaign to increase awareness of Niagara Falls USA as a premier tourist destination to various major markets throughout the U.S.

"We strive to constantly expand awareness about what Niagara USA offers as a national tourist destination," said John Percy, NTCC president and CEO. "This initiative is just another way for us to promote our region on a widespread level, and what better way to do it than with a large motor coach traveling through many major tourism markets from which we frequently attract visitors?"

The bus, which features large-scale photos of Niagara Falls, the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds, will provide a variety of AAA's Horizon Club Tours retail group tours to travelers from Western and Central New York, essentially acting as a moving billboard for Niagara USA. Over the course of this year, the bus will travel through several major tourist destinations including Mt. Rushmore, Newport, the Hudson Valley, New York City, Washington, D.C., Boston, Philadelphia and Williamsburg.

"This collaboration between AAA's Horizon Club Tours and the Niagara Tourism Convention Corp. is a symbol of how organizations working together can strengthen regional tourism," said Tony Spada, president and CEO of AAA Western and Central New York. "The members of our local communities know all the wonderful things that exist right in our own backyard, and we look forward to spreading the word to a whole new audience."

The branding effort complements NTCC's other summer marketing efforts, which include television advertising now underway in Syracuse, Utica, Elmira, Binghamton, Albany and in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; and a digital campaign targeting families in the Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, Columbus, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Rhode Island and Northern Virginia markets.
