Explore & More announces its 'Summer Friday Family Fun' schedule for Canalside

Explore & More Children's Museum will be returning to Canalside with free family outdoor fun every Friday, June 20, through Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

With the sponsorship of Wegmans Food Markets, Explore & More will present its seventh year of Canalside outdoor programming on Fridays, featuring "Imagination Playground" June 20, 27 and Aug. 29 through Sept. 26; and "Family Fun" activities July 4 through Aug. 22.

"Family Fun" themes include:

July 4 - Independence Day-inspired crafts and activities

July 11 - "Pirates of the Queen City"

July 18 - "International Games"

July 25 - "Fish: Including carp kites, fish prints and fishing pole play"

Aug. 1 - "Transportation: Build a spool racer and explore transport of all kinds"

Aug. 8 - "Wind: Kites planes and foxtails, make a craft and play with the wind"

Aug. 15 - "Iroquois (Haudenosaunee) Day of Sharing"

Aug. 22 - "Clay: Mold your masterpiece"

"Our summer programming at Canalside has been a priority for us for the last seven years. We are thrilled to be a part of this revitalization."

Celebrating its 20th year in operation, Explore & More Children's Museum provides an environment for creative play and learning through hands-on exhibits, activities and programs that inspire creativity, curiosity and imagination.
