Join the Historical Association of Lewiston for its annual meeting and a presentation on the Erie Canal Flight of Five. The free event is Tuesday, May 27, at 7 p.m., inside the Barton Hill Hotel, 100 Center St., Lewiston.

HAL members in attendance will vote to elect four trustees to a second three-year term, and on proposed changes to the group's constitution. HAL board committees will give brief updates on last year's successes and this year's goals.

David Kenyon, who is the chairman of the Erie Canal Flight of Five restoration project in Lockport, will outline how restoration of two of the five enlarged Erie Canal locks was funded, designed and constructed, as well as how this enhancement of Lockport's Erie Canal heritage will enable this area to attract a greater share of the heritage tourism market.

Refreshments will be served.
