Spring has sprung, and the sun is here to stayby jmaloni

Spring has finally arrived, and everything is starting to bloom.
Long gone is the season where we pull on boots and a coat to face the frigid temperatures outside. The climate is changing and it's time to let the true fashionistas shine.
This year, spring is the season to show off the midriff with a crop top. It is easily styled with high-waist pants or a skirt. The point of the crop top is to show a small amount of the stomach area and not the whole thing (a reminder of that is 90s pop stars).
Also, the color of the season is pastels. It is easy and best to pick the color that is the most flattering to the person.
"I love pastels. In my favorite store, American Apparel, they have a huge selection of pastels," said Ayanna Rainey, a sophomore tourism major at Niagara University.
It is easy to match pastels, because they can go with anything and look good as anything whether it is pants, shorts or a jacket.
Menswear is also back again this season. This time the shirt is in use. It is easy to style with a nice skirt to go over the shirt. It presents a nice layered look that is appropriate anywhere, from school, work, etc. A lot of celebrities, including Beyoncé, have been seen wearing a men's button down, particularly plaid, with a nice pair of cutoff jean shorts.
Floral is a fashion statement that is here to stay. It is a very cute pattern that looks great on a dress.
Alivia Roscoe, a junior at Niagara University, agreed.
"Floral and leather is my all-time go-to outfit. It goes perfect together," Roscoe said.
Floral patterns look great against other fabrics such as denim or leather, and it can be worn to a picnic in the park, or dressed for the night scene for a night out with friends.
The nice weather has finally arrived here in Western New York. The warm seasons are a time to try out a new daring outfit, because it can be shown to a bigger audience and receive tons of compliments.
It's time to get out there and try all the new fashion trends!
