Lewiston Police Blotter for April 26, 2014

The following activity occurred Monday, April 14, to Sunday, April 20, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 62 response calls during this period.

Monday, April 14

•Addresses on the 4300 block of Autumn Lane, the 5000 block of Forest Road, the 1000 block of Saunders Settlement Road and the 3300 block of Palmer Road, separate alarm responses. Calls responded by patrol and/or State Police. Locations secure.

•Lewiston Queenston Bridge, agency assist-arrests. Male, 29, arrested on a felony arrest warrant out of Tioga County for burglary, second. Female, 43, from same vehicle arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation. Jail/bail of $250 assigned to female, and both suspects remanded to custody of Niagara County Sheriffs Office/Niagara County Jail. Report filed.

Tuesday, April 15

•200 block of Kenwood Drive, check welfare. Increased patrols requested.

•2000 block of Mount Hope Road, MVA. Statement taken from driver; female taken to ECMC via Tri-Community ambulance. Speed believed to be factor. Vehicle towed; report filed.

•700 block of Cayuga Street, fire alarm at a restaurant. All OK.

Wednesday, April 16

•Swann Road, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Female, 31, arrested for driving while intoxicated. Blood alcohol content testing performed; BAC result, .17 of 1 percent. Appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court and vehicle secured. Report filed.

•700 block of Cayuga Street, fire alarm at a restaurant. False alarm; all secure.

•Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, agency assist. LPD assisted U.S Customs and Border Protection on a stolen vehicle arrest. Male, 35, charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property involving a vehicle with California registration. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court and suspect remanded to Niagara County Jail on $10,000 bail. Report filed.

•5200 block of Lewiston Road, open burn complaint. Call unfounded.

•1000 bloc of North Hewitt Drive, disturbing peace. Handled by patrol.

•Lower Mountain Road, suspicious male walking. Subject given courtesy ride by patrol to Saunders Settlement and Military roads.

•1500 block of Swann Road, check welfare. Mother-daughter argument reported by third party. All OK.

•900 block of Upper Mountain Road, aggravated harassment. Patrol spoke with complainant via phone. All OK.

Thursday, April 17

•2100 block of Swann Road, civil issues. Patrol reported a male-female argument over dishes, etc.

•900 block of Escarpment Drive, follow-up. Patrol reports a juvenile suspect was issued an appearance ticket to Lewiston Town Court; no further details.

•900 block of Center Street, separate reports of two-vehicle property-damage accidents in a supermarket parking lot. Statements from drivers, MV forms issued. Reports filed.

•5400 block of Walmore Road, suspicious person. Male observed on property; owner requested he be removed. Subject not on location on patrol's arrival.

•Green and Upper Mountain roads, one-vehicle accident/injury. Male, 26, Mercy Flight to ECMC with possible head injury. Speed believed a factor in accident. Lewiston No. 2 and Upper Mountain volunteer fire company's EMS on location.

Friday, April 18

•Ridge Road, eastbound. Reckless driver. Patrol disregarded en route.

•Addresses on 4900 block of Creek Road and on the 2800 block of Ridge Road, separate check welfare calls. Both handled by patrol.

•3300 block of Palmer Road, agency assist. LPD on location with NCSO for a disturbing peace call. Call handled.

•2100 block of Swann Road, domestic. Male, 63, and female, 61, listed as persons involved. Report filed.

•3500 block of Porter Center Road, alarm response. LPD assisted NCSO on call. All secure.

•Saunders Settlement and Walmore roads, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 46, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation and operating vehicle without an interlock device. Suspect assigned cash bail of $1,000 and remanded to Niagara County Jail. Vehicle secured. Report filed.

•800 block of Oriole Lane, harassment. Female, 47, listed as victim; suspect unknown. Report filed.

Saturday, April 19

•1200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, disabled vehicle. Tractor-trailer carrying new vehicles tipped over and lost its cargo. State Police handled; road closed and towing service on location.

•Kline Road, reckless driver. Caller reported a blue vehicle racing down road. GOA.

•900 block of Orchard Drive, repo of vehicle. No problems reported.

•Cliff and Hillside drives, suspicious vehicle. Patrol reported towing underway. All OK and vehicle released following investigation.

•400 block of Plain Street, criminal mischief. Male reported car painted; suspect unknown. Report to follow.

•900 block of Elliott Drive, animal problem. Male, 59, listed as complainant and male, elderly, as suspect. Report filed.

•100 block of Smith Street, check welfare. All OK.

Sunday, April 20

•Bridgeman Road, ATV problem. Patrol checked area with negative results.

•I-190-Upper Mountain Road, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Male, 22, arrested after his vehicle failed to pull over for roadside patrol. Suspect charged with driving while intoxicated. BAC testing roadside, result, .10 of 1 percent. Suspect released on appearance tickets for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•2500 block of Ridge Road, standby. Female, 46, listed as complainant a female, 22 as person involved. Report filed.

•800 block of Hillside Drive, domestic. Female, 46, listed as complainant and male, 44 as person involved. Report filed.

•800 block of Oriole Lane, EMS assist. Subject becoming agitated, patrol requested for standby.

•4900 block of Creek Road, check welfare. Patrol spoke with resident; all OK.

•4300 block of Porter Center Road, missing person. Female, 29, listed as complainant and male listed as missing. Attempt to locate issued; investigation started and male located. All OK.

•4900 block of Forest Road, agency assist. LPD on location with State Police.
