Three New York Power Authority engineers will address the World Green Energy Symposium and Expo April 22-24 at the Conference & Event Center in Niagara Falls.

The WGES explores the latest energy technologies and associated economic opportunities through presentations by noted sustainable energy experts.

Kala Henry, a NYPA assistant research and technology development engineer, will discuss the growing use of fuel cells. Henry manages ongoing energy storage projects, distributed generation, renewable energy and electric transportation initiatives.

Randall Solomon, a lead program engineer in NYPA's energy efficiency group, will discuss co-generation projects, such as combined-heat and power.

Dr. Jiankang Zhu, a NYPA research and technology development engineer, will discuss improving the reliability and efficiency of existing power plants.

Symposium attendees can arrange for a guided tour of the Niagara Power Vista, the admission-free visitors center at NYPA's Niagara Hydroelectric Power Plant. The Power Vista features more than 50 interactive exhibits and affords unique views from an observation deck 350 feet above the Niagara Gorge. Attendees can email [email protected] or call 716-286-6661.
