Artpark & Company Inc. has announced plans to participate in "Spring It On," a 24-hour online fundraising event designed to raise awareness and funds for not-for profit organizations throughout Western New York with a unique one-day focus. Artpark & Company will focus efforts on raising funds to support children's art programming.

"Spring It On" will be held on the first day of spring, March 20, from 8 a.m. until 8 a.m. March 21.

"Spring It On" was held for the first time in 2013 and raised more than $76,000 for 182 organizations in Erie and Niagara counties. The event seeks to mobilize citizens for one day of giving to strengthen and support the community. Individuals can make a one-time, secure, online donation to the local not-for-profit agency of their choice through a specially designed website at www.springiton.org. The event was created and is powered by the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County.

Artpark & Company plans to encourage supporters to contribute during "Spring It On" through social media messaging, website communication and traditional marketing initiatives.

Carrie Veltri, Artpark's director of development, said, " 'Spring It On' is a fantastic way for our Artpark friends to jump in to our season of arts programming. Children and families from throughout our local community and the Western New York region can join us in the park as the snow begins to melt and the music starts to play. We are thrilled to be part of 'Spring It On.' "

Artpark is one of nearly 250 organizations that have signed on so far to participate this year.

"Spring It On" updates will be posted between now and March 21 on United Way of Buffalo and Erie County's Facebook page and Twitter account via #SpringItOn2014. For more information, visit Artpark's Facebook page or www.springiton.org.

Artpark & Company creates unique cultural experiences in a casual, natural setting. Artistic talent is nurtured and allowed to flourish in an atmosphere that is entertaining, educational and interactive for Artpark visitors.
