Niagara County Auxiliary Police Academy graduates 9

On Wednesday evening, April 9, eight men and one woman representing the Niagara County Auxiliary Police Department graduated from the Niagara County Auxiliary Police Academy.

Graduating New York state peace officers Steven Hausrath, Tony Steward, Heather Grimmer and Mike Nikonowicz. New recruits included Adam Wind, Lance Froelich, Zakary Darlak, Ken Bak and Alfred Alison.

New recruits of the Niagara County Auxiliary Police will complete an additional academy held by Niagara University's Niagara County Law Enforcement Academy, to become certified New York state peace officers.

Graduates of the auxiliary police academy received extensive training, covering a variety of police-related topics and physical fitness exercises, including traffic control, crowd control and defensive tactics.
