Classic rock, comedy, singers and more come to Western New York; lineup features John Legend, Jeff Dunham, The Moody Blues, Steely Dan

Officials with Seneca Gaming Corp. today announced a blockbuster summer entertainment lineup they hope will delight tens of thousands of music and comedy lovers. The "Summer Rush" 2014 schedule was unveiled on a 20-by40-foot high-definition screen in the heart of the gaming floor at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel - a fitting display for a larger-than-life entertainment series.

June Entertainment

#SummerRush begins with the international male singing quartet Il Divo with special guest Lea Salonga at Seneca Niagara Events Center in Niagara Falls Friday, June 6. Coming the following weekend on Friday, June 13, to Seneca Allegany Events Center in Salamanca, is R&B and soul singer-songwriter John Legend as part of his intimate and acoustic "All of Me Tour." That same night at Seneca Niagara, country superstar baritone Trace Adkins will perform (rescheduled from March 22). To close out June, one of the most popular comedians from last year's summer lineup returns for performances in both Salamanca and Niagara Falls. Jeff Dunham will bring his world-famous ventriloquism routine and cast of characters to Seneca Allegany Friday, June 27, and Seneca Niagara Saturday, June 28.

July Entertainment

One day before Independence Day, Seneca Niagara will welcome John Mellencamp for an evening of timeless rock Thursday, July 3. The following weekend at Seneca Allegany, disco and funk lovers will "shake, shake, shake" the night away as KC and the Sunshine Band perform Saturday, July 12. On Friday, July 18, at Seneca Niagara, "An Evening with YES" will fill the Events Center with a boisterous night of classic rock. The following week, on Friday, July 25, in Niagara Falls, Motown legend Smokey Robinson returns nearly one year after earning a standing ovation in the same venue. Closing out July is comedian Jim Gaffigan, who had a sold-out Niagara Falls crowd in stitches back in April 2013, coming this time to Seneca Allegany Saturday, July 26.

August Entertainment

"Summer Rush" at Seneca Casinos continues in a big way this August, as English progressive rock band The Moody Blues takes the stage at Seneca Niagara Saturday, Aug. 2. Just six days later, the legendary jazz, funk and rock fusion sounds from Steely Dan will fill the same venue on Friday, Aug. 8. The fun continues at Seneca Niagara Saturday, Aug. 16, as renowned "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" comedian Larry the Cable Guy takes the stage for two shows. Coming Friday, Aug. 22, to Seneca Allegany is one of the leading ladies of country music, Martina McBride, just off a 12th studio album, "Everlasting," which features her covers of some of the greatest soul and R&B songs in history. "Summer Rush" 2014 closes the following weekend on Saturday, Aug. 30, as renowned actor and comedian George Lopez provides a hilarious take on Mexican-American culture.

Most "Summer Rush" 2014 shows will go on sale Thursday, April 3, at noon. More acts will be announced soon. Tickets for all shows will be available at Seneca Casino box offices, www.Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster locations, or by phone at 800-745-3000.
