At Shoppe on Main

Shoppe On Main, 2714 Main St., Newfane, announces the following:

•Dog trainer Karen Drumm will visit for "Saturday Puppy Socials." Class dates are April 26, May 3 and May 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. All puppies must be under the age of 18 months and have proof of rabies shots. Class cost is $5 per puppy. Call Karen at 716-638-1211 for reservations.

•Local author David Brown will signing his new mystery book Friday, April 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Brown's book, "Who Is Alpha?" takes place in Western New York and is a follow-up to his first book, "The Elusive Chauffeur."

• Woodland artist Geoffrey Harding will present his newest works of art Friday, May 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. Harding has been showing and selling at Shoppe On Main since 2004, when the shop first opened. The public is welcome; the event is free of charge.

•Shoppe On Main holds crochet classes every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. Classes are $5 each; every level is welcome, as are walk-ins.

•New for April, on Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m., Shoppe On Main will host "Knitting For Yourself," a time to come in and knit with others. This is not a class, but a time to share ideas, patterns and sit and knit.
