Grand Island's annual Father's Day Lawn Mower Race, Classic Car Show and 5K Kevin Doring Walk has been recognized by the Grand Island Relay For Life.
The Lawn Mower Race Committee, at its recent monthly organizational lunch held at the Town Café, accepted a "Thank you" plaque from the Relay For Life. At its kickoff event Feb. 26, the GI Relay For Life Committee recognized the Lawn Mower Race event for "leadership and dedication" to the 2013 Relay, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
