NCIDA: Henry Sloma elected chairman of the board of directors

Jerald I. Wolfgang joins Niagara County Industrial Development Agency's board of directors

The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency board of directors today elected Henry M. Sloma as chairman of the board at the agency's annual reorganizational meeting. Sloma previously served as chairman from April 2005 until January 2013.

The following officers also were elected:

First vice chairperson - Stephen Brady

Second vice chairperson - Mark Onesi

Secretary - Deanna Alterio Brennan

Assistant secretary - Kevin McCabe

Treasurer - Samuel Ferraro

"I am grateful for the support of my fellow board members and am pleased to once again have the opportunity to lead the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency," Sloma said. "I also want to acknowledge the leadership of Michael Tucker, who was my predecessor at the agency, for all of his hard work. He was a dedicated public servant and we wish him all the best in his new endeavor in the private sector."

The agency also welcomed Jerald I. Wolfgang to the board of directors. Wolfgang is currently director of the Western New York Regional Education Center for Economic Development.

As part of the annual reorganizational meeting, the agency ratified board meeting dates, reaffirmed the committee charters and mission statement, as well as agency policies. The next meeting of the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency is Wednesday, April 9, at 9 a.m.
