Junior Sabres begin second-round action of OJHL Playoffs at First Niagara Center

The Buffalo Junior Sabres are set to face the Georgetown Raiders in the second round of the Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs. Game 1 will take place at 5 p.m. Friday, March 14, at First Niagara Center. Admission for the game is $10 for adults and $7 for students with a school ID.

The Jr. Sabres, who are the 2014 OJHL West Division Champion, enter the second round after eliminating the Mississauga Chargers in six games. Forwards Ryan Schmelzer and Michael Ederer led the team in scoring, tallying three goals and five assists apiece in the series. The Jr. Sabres' Joseph Pianta was in goal for all six games of the first round, recording a .890 save percentage and a 3.80 goals-against average. The Raiders eliminated the Milton Icehawks in a four-game sweep in the opening round.
