Essential services will continue
Niagara County government offices will be closed Wednesday due to an anticipated major late-winter snowstorm that is currently projected to be centering its effects on counties bordering Lake Ontario.
Essential county services will continue during the snowstorm and throughout the day. Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Niagara County Emergency Management, Public Works, Sewer District and Water District personnel will report as scheduled.
The closure is based on National Weather Service projections that suggest local snow totals are likely to exceed 18 inches.
This office will provide updates related to the closure as necessary by press release. Updates will also be posted to Niagara County's Facebook page.
