The Rev. Dr. Gregory Hogg will present a talk on "My Personal Re-formation" at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 1073 Saunders Settlement Road, Lewiston.

Hogg is a former Lutheran pastor and professor with extensive connections in Western New York and St. Catharines, Ontario. He will be sharing how he discovered the church, not as a theory or idea, but as "the pillar and ground of the truth." His presentation will immediately follow the Great Vespers Service and conclude with a Q-and-A time.

After seven years as a Protestant seminary professor and more than 20 years as a Western New York and Ontario Protestant pastor, Hogg embraced the ancient Christian faith and practices of the Eastern Orthodox Church.

In 2005, Hogg, his family and many others joined the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. Later, he was ordained priest and started a mission parish in Michigan where he now serves as a bi-vocational pastor. He is a professor of philosophy at Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Mich.
