A slumber party, a pool party, a Tex-Mex Fiesta, a golden ticket to chocolate fun and one ultimate Oscar soiree on 'The Chew'by jmaloni
Olympic medalist snowboarder Kelly Clark, Donald Faison and Rosie Perez are guests.
It's a week of festive celebrations next week on "The Chew." For the week of Feb. 24-28 (subject to change; weekdays, 1 p.m. on ABC):
Monday, Feb. 24 - "Slumber Party!" -The hosts cook some tasty treats with Olympic snowboarder Kelly Clark. Michael Symon takes "The Chew" cameras behind-the-scenes at his acclaimed restaurants, Lola, Lolita and B Spot, in his hometown of Cleveland. Clinton Kelly puts his own spin on pasta Bolognese and Mario Batali makes crespelle with ricotta and salami.
Tuesday, Feb. 25 - "The Chew's Pool Party!" - This weather is frightful, but a pool party is delightful, especially when Donald Faison ("The Exes") joins Daphne Oz and Carla Hall in the kitchen to help make grilled shrimp with pineapple. Michael fires up grilled clams with chorizo, and Clinton mixes a marvelous mango daiquiri.
Wednesday, Feb. 26 - "Tex-Mex Takeover" - Daphne spices up the fiesta with a guacamole bar. Mario creates rock shrimp tortas and Michael whips up chile rellenos.
Thursday, Feb. 27 - "The Chew's Chocolate Factory" - Chef Curtis Stone is guest co-host and teams with Carla and one winning audience member to create a triple chocolate tart. The co-hosts compete with their best chocolate recipes to be crowned the "Chocolate Champion."
Friday, Feb. 28- "The Chew's Ultimate Oscar Party" - It's one hour of awards-worthy fun when the hosts hold their own Oscar party and welcome actress and former Oscar nominee for "Fearless," Rosie Perez (author, "Handbook for an Unpredictable Life"). The quintet offers tips for hosting your own viewing party, Clinton shakes up some award-winning cocktails and Mario, Carla and Daphne prepare applause-worthy dishes - each inspired by this year's Oscar nominees.
