The Lewiston Community Lions recently entertained and donated to Wings Flights of Hope, a not-for-profit organization with more than 300 pilots donating free flights for medical patients, their families and U.S. troops.

Regina Cecconi was installed as the Lions' newest member. She was sponsored by television star and cooking aficionado Lori Caso.

Gary Catlin received an award from the Lions International for his contributions in gaining membership to the Lewiston Lions Club.

•The Lions have a special message for the Lewiston Village Pub:

"It is our understanding that the Lewiston Village Pub will be closing on or about Feb. 9. The Lewiston Lions club would like to publicly thank Ken Scibetta and the Lewiston Village Pub for the support they have given the Lions club on (our) dinner nights at the Pub," Craft said. "Their support will be missed, along with (Ken's) support for many functions, festivals and fundraisers in the Village of Lewiston."
