State declaration of emergency, weather effects close offices
Niagara County has suspended non-emergency-related operations during the course of New York's declared state of emergency, Legislature Vice Chairman Clyde L. Burmaster and County Manager Jeffrey M. Glatz announced in a conference call with agency directors.
Personnel performing work deemed nonessential during the course of the emergency and the massive snowstorm currently hitting all of New York state have been released effective emergency, and county offices not related to emergency response will be closed for the remainder of the day.
Niagara County government anticipates opening on time Thursday morning and operating as normal.
